Frequently Asked Question

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR ACCESSING LIBRARY DATABASES WHILE OFF-CAMPUS. IF YOU ARE ON CAMPUS THESE DATABASES SHOULD AUTO-LOGIN FOR YOU. 

Before starting, ensure you have your Library Login credentials as a backup.

ODIN uses two systems to authenticate access to subscribed databases:

• EZProxy (Primary): Connects directly using your main school credentials via Single Sign-On (SSO).
• AuthGate (Backup): Uses a dedicated library password.

Step 1: Know Your Credentials

While EZProxy automatically routes through your Populi account, you should keep your dedicated Library Login credentials ready in case you need to access AuthGate or if SSO is temporarily unavailable.

If you do not know your password, follow the [Reset Library Password] instructions. (Note: Requires access to your InsideTrinity email address).

Step 2: Choose Your Login Method

Look at the top of the login screen you are directed to and follow the corresponding instructions below:

Option A: EZProxy Login (Recommended / Default)

Look for a blue form asking for either your TBC (Populi) or Patron (Library) login.

1. Click the "Trinity Account Login" button located under the heading "TBC Students, Faculty, Staff".
2. You will be redirected to the Populi login page.
3. If you are not already signed in, enter your regular Populi credentials.
4. Once authenticated via SSO, you will automatically be forwarded to your selected database.

Option B: AuthGate Login (Secondary / Backup)

Look for the word "AuthGate" in big green letters at the top of the page.

1. Go to the ODIN login page (or watch the [Video Demonstration Link] — requires you to be signed in to your TBC&GS email).
2. If prompted to select an institution, choose Trinity Bible College & Graduate School.
3. Enter your Library Username and Library Password.

Note: If AuthGate redirects you back to the login screen after submitting, simply re-enter your username and password a second time.
